helping-VeteransI created helping-Veterans focused effort built upon our very successful networking group model of Neighbors-helping-Neighbors USA which began January 2011, after doing a job search skills presentation in Fernando Alonso's Fairleigh Dickenson University class of GI bill young veterans, the idea to create Veterans-helping-Veterans USA was born.
Soon after I met AJ Luna who was the Director of Veterans programs at FDU and we have been working together ever since. helping-Veterans is a community in social media, and with this landing page a new LinkedIn Group and a Facebook Group to share jobs and helpful job search and networking tips.
My father Raymond was also drafted into the Navy in WWII, which also connects me to veterans and their needs. Father Raymond Eugene Fugazzie April 26, 1925 - March 21, 1971 (45) born in North Bergen, NJ, USA Our web page is curated with large number of resource sites and information. We are always looking to assemble a group of volunteer coaches/mentors who can be paired with veterans who need help with their job search and career advancement. Email me if you want to be a mentor/coach [email protected] Our parent organization Neighbors-helping-Neighbors has moved now its operating model from virtual meetings, face to face meeting to a one-on-one mentor/coach model. Our leaders and others who volunteer and are vetted by founder will offer one on one sessions with our membership information and a large amounts of resources for NhNUSA may be found at www.nhnusa.org. There is both a registration for members needing help, along with a registration for applying to be a coach/mentor. Please feel free to use the free career resources on this site and join their Linked-In group. Neighbors-helping-Neighbors USA ( www.nhnusa.org ) founded on January 27,2011, is supported by an award winning web portal site, LinkedIn group https://www.linkedin.com/groups/3892534/ Facebook group and a large network of members and volunteer leaders built over the past 13 years. Over past year we have had significant growth with the facebook group and I have partnered with a volunteer how helps me manage that very active group Just as our Neighbors-helping-Neighbors group has moved to a one on one coaching/mentoring our members we will also be offering this for the helping-Veterans members. Great story of the power of networking and how just an email group chain of veteran stakeholders found a mobile scooter for Norman in just one hour, now the system has two more available for any vet who might need one. Living up to our groups name Veterans-helping-Veterans ! This all got started by an email I sent to my 280 vets stakeholders group in NJ helping Norman get a scooter in 3 days! Bro. Norman Micewicz finally made it home and recovering just fine.
Here is a picture of Norman riding his scooter.
