Skel Club Community Ambassador Program

The Skel Club Community Ambassador Program is designed to engage youth, families, educators, and community members in promoting positive core values, literacy, and kindness through The Adventures of Skel storybook series.

Key Purpose & Goals

• Spreading Core Values: Ambassadors serve as local leaders sharing the Skel Club Code of Behavior—emphasizing kindness, teamwork, respect, honesty, and community support.
• Youth & Family Engagement: Encouraging children to participate in local reading clubs, seasonal events, and creative community projects.
• Grassroots Support: Connecting schools, libraries, children's hospitals, and civic organizations with Skel Club materials, lesson plans, and book donation initiatives.

Ambassador Roles & Activities

• Educational Outreach: Distributing teacher lesson plans, activity pages, and official Skel Club bookmarks within local schools and libraries.
• Community Initiatives: Organizing local events and reading drives tied to seasonal book releases (e.g., Skel’s Big Green Adventure, Skel’s Valentine Heart, Skel Swings for the Fences).
• Hospital & Charity Support: Facilitating local participation in the Children's Hospital Donation Program and the "Skels Have Hearts" family publishing partnership.
• Promoting Positive Culture: Encouraging young members to earn recognition as "Skels Who Rock the Club" by demonstrating exemplary kindness and civic helpfulness.
• Share all the Skel club information on social media with your network

Skel Club Community Ambassador Program Blueprint

1. Ambassador Tiers & Roles

• Youth Ambassadors (Ages 6–12): * Lead local reading circles and school library events.
  • Demonstrate core values ("Skel Club").
• Teen & Student Ambassadors (Ages 13–18): * Manage local community drives and book donations.
  • Assist with seasonal storytelling events and hospital visits.
• Educator & Community Leaders (Adults): * Coordinate school curriculum integrations and local business sponsorships.
  • Serve as regional contacts for book distribution and charity partnerships.

2. Core Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Literacy Drives: Host or facilitate minimum 2 seasonal reading events per year using The Adventures of Skel books.
• Hospital & Charity Outreach: Help with fund raising ideas to distribute book packages for the "Skels Have Hearts" children's hospital initiative.
• School Outreach: Share Skel Club activity sheets, codes of behavior, and lesson plans with local elementary educators.
• Community Advocacy: Represent the Skel Club values of kindness, honesty, teamwork, and respect in local civic projects.
